This website provides many resources, including a "Find an Integrative RDN" search tool to help you find one in your area! Follow them on Facebook for nutrition research updates.
 
The Institute of Functional Medicine
To learn more about functional medicine and how it differes from traditional Western medicine, read this article. Also, find ND's and MD's in your area that are certified by IFM. 
 
Bastyr Clinic for Natural Health
​This is the teaching clinic of Bastyr University where you can schedule VERY affordable health care appointments including nutrition, naturopath, acupunture, and more. See what you may qualify for if you do not have insurance. 

National University of Natural Medicine CE Library
Are you looking for more continuing education? This is a wonderful resource highlighting many different topics of interest in the functional medicine arena.

This is a great general resource for patients and practitioners alike to help address common health concerns with the functional medicine approach. Chris is very thorough and always uses evidence based research to guide his practice.

Linus Pauling Institute
This is a great resource if you are wanting detailed information regarding certain vitamins and minerals and their unique biochemical functions. A detailed report is written about each micronutrient, highlighting the roles in health and disease.
 
USDA Nutrient Database
Interested in what foods contain certain vitamins and minerals. Or do you want to see which foods are the best sources of vitamin C, or vitamin A, etc? Then check out this great resource!

Cronometer
This free calorie and micronutrient tracker is my favorite program to help highlight nutrients of concern for my patients. 

Consumer Lab
Although this requires an annual membership, this is a wonderful resource for practitioners to keep up to date on supplements, their quality, dosing for specific health conditions, and safety information. 

Women's Health Resources

Women's Health Specialist Dr. Tori Hudson
For an abundance of Women's Health related information from Dr. Tori Hudson (a women's health specialist) see her great blog. Dr. Tori Hudson, along with her sister Karen Hudson have founded the Institute of Women's Health & Integrative Medicine.

Women's Health Specialist Dr. Lara Briden
Focused mainly on period health and PCOS, Dr. Lara Briden has  wealth of knowledge regarding women's hormones and nutrient needs. Her most recent book Period Repair Manual, is an excellent tool for practitioners and patients alike. ​

Women's Health Specialist Dr. Aviva Romm
Aviva has lot of great resources on herbs and botanicals for women's health as well as programs for health care professionals. She has written many books including Adrenal Thyroid Revolution and Botanical Medicine for Women's Health. Her blog is a also a wonderful resource for continued learning. ​

Dr. Allison Siebecker has put together this website as a collective resource for SIBO research, treatment, symptom management, diet plans, etc. It is a wonderful place to start learning about SIBO without extra cost.

The SIBO Doctor
Dr. Nirala Jacobi is known for her knowledge and expertise in the SIBO field. Her website offers exceptional practitioner and patient webinars for continued education in addressing SIBO. 

International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders
If you are interested in learning more about certain functional GI disorders, this website is dedicated to that. It also offers book recommendations, articles, and lots more. 

AEProbio: Clinical Guide to Probiotics Products Available in the USA
​Are you looking for a probiotic for women's health, for your baby's gut, or for IBS? Check out this new resource to help guide you in making an evidence based decision. 

My GI Nutrition (Cedar Sinai and University of Michigan)
Learn about why FODMAP rich foods could be contributing to your GI symptoms. Also find resources on how to follow a Low FODMAP diet, recipes, and other tools.

Most people struggle with produce creativity. This magazine is great to have around for vegetarian and vegan meal inspiration. It is always easy to add additional protein to a meal if desired. 
 
Food52
For a lot of recipe variety, and easy step by step cooking/baking guides, this website can be a great resource for someone who wants to build their cooking skills. 
 
Feasting At Home
​This is one of my favorite cooking blogs. Sylivia does a great job incorporating local and seasonal produce in her recipes and using a lot of different spices and seasonings. If you want to increase you spice reportoie and cooking creativity then check out this blog!
 
Bastyr University Recipe Database
You will find many delicious and healthy recipes here created by Bastyr students, including some of mine! You can even find herbal tonics and beverages to help keep the flu or cold at bay. 

Good & Cheap
This is a FREE online cookbook dedicated to making meals for $4 or less per day. Creativity and taste is not discarded. If you think eating healthy is expensive, then check out this resource that will show you that you can eat healthy on a very low budget!

Pulses!
Beans and legumes are a wonderful staple to have on hand in any kitchen. They are rich in plant fiber and protein, as well as many vitamins and minerals. Check out this great resource for simple "How to cook pulses" guides, recipes, and tips.

Fitness Blender
This website offers free workout videos for a wide variety of different training types and durations to do at home. Only have 20 minutes and want to do a quick tabata workout? They got it. Want to focus on some abs but you only have a few minutes? They got it. 

Gaia - My Yoga
Do you need to add more yoga into your life? Practice yoga anywhere, anytime with Gaia. This website offers low cost monthly memberships for online yoga classes.  It also has videos for pilates, tai chi,  and guided meditation. 

Gorilla Workout App
Try this low cost app for some great workout plans. This  can be a great guide to get you doing more than you otherwise would at home or at the gym! It contains 175 workout plans and 40 unique exercises with tutorial videos. 

Washington Trail Association
Getting outside in nature is very important for health and wellness. Taking a hike any time of the year can be very rewards, physically and mentally. Check out this website for your local hikes, trail conditions, and other fun facts. 

Note: Check out your local gyms, dance studios, yoga studios, climbing gyms, etc to find the movement you enjoy most!
